Five important things that helped me to lose 10kg in 75days

I bet everyone wants to know how I lost 10kgs in 75 days.

We’re all aware of the famous “watch your diet and exercise regularly” routine.

But if losing weight was that simple, we won’t be having so many overweight people in this world!

Amidst all these lies and myths that surround the weight loss industry, one can hardly separate the myths from the truth.

That’s why today I’ve decided to share with you five important things that helped me to lose 10kg in 75 days.

The change mindset (healthy change)

Weight loss is a very challenging process, especially if you do it without the mindset needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Luckily, I learned the art of training my mind to motivate me to lose weight in the long-term, contrary to wasting time and energy in doing quick and short-term fixes.

Understanding that the human body needs a specific amount of calories to keep its current body weight is very important.

After understanding the energy balance, I feel less tempted to eat more than my body needs.

A proper mindset also helps me stay away from junk food and soft drinks.

Research & planning (healthy diet & workouts plan) based on science

The internet is full of weight loss diet plans that are promoted by different companies.

All these diets promise fantastic weight loss results with minimum effort.

Most of these diets can help an individual to lose weight and stay healthy.

Unfortunately, not all of them are tailor-made to fit everyone’s needs.

That’s why I had to do research and plan my diet and workout plan based on my goals and needs.

This has effectively helped me lose 10kgs without compromising my health.

Full Adherence & consistency to my plan with no cheat days or missing any workout

Working out, dieting, having enough rest, taking enough water, etc.

All these help in weight loss, but the fundamental element is consistency.

It doesn’t matter how great your weight loss plan is; it can be easily undermined by inconsistency.

Working out for a month and resting for eleven months’ spells disaster.

This is why I have always maintained a consistent workout plan that I am comfortable with.

I ensure that I have no cheat days, and I miss no workouts.

Technology & tools (using MyFitnessPal app & digital weight scale)

While using Technology & tools (using MyFitnessPal app & digital weight scale) and other devices that track physical activities and meals sound passive, these gadgets and apps have helped me lose more weight through helping me hit my targets.

Tracking how much I exercise and my diet acts as both a motivator and the best way to notice why a particular routine or schedule isn’t working.

My social media posts about my workout summary & progress

Social media has been a powerful tool in helping me to make friends who’re on similar weight loss journeys.

We motivate each other by making social media posts about our daily workout summary & progress.

This has propelled me to take the right steps towards success.

It also holds me accountable to my mindset and actions, thus expediting a behavior change.
